At Valley Brook, we are very intentional about supporting mission causes locally, regionally and around the world. Our goal is to use ten percent (10%) of our offerings to do that.

We seek a balanced giving program that breaks down in the following manner: Local missions, National missions, International missions, and church planting. Our mission giving includes both one-time gifts and on-going support.

Barbara Ettinger
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (Central CT)

Barbara ministers to college youth through InterVarsity chapters at four Central Connecticut Campuses (Wesleyan, University of Hartford, UConn and Connecticut College). 

InterVarsity minister provides students with the Word-centered experience of watching God work as they take faith steps in service, evangelism, and witness.  As they experience God working through them, students grow in their relationship with him.  Click HERE to learn more about InterVarsity.

Brian Kuhrt
Life Bridge

Brian Kuhrt is a missionary at LifeBridge in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.  Life Bridge is a mentoring program that seeks to nurture teens through one-to-one relationships and faith-based community support. This allows each teen to develop into their full potential, capable of making informed, responsible decisions as involved members of our community.

Jean & Teisa Nicole
Ministry in Action/Iris Ministries

Jean & Teisa are missionaries through Iris Ministries, in Mbonisweni, South Africa.  They are working with orphans and hope to see the glory of God released there and in the neighboring countries during this time. They will be stationed at an orphanage where God has called Jean to be a "father to the fatherless."  While there, Jean will also lead teams out to evangelize, plant churches and train pastors.

Valley Brook supports ConvergeUSA, the church planting ministry of ConvergeWorldwide (Baptist General Conference).  According to Gary Rohrmayer, National Director, "ConvergeUSA is a proven church planting force reaching people from every segment of society.  We are a network of like-minded organizations who have worked together to start over 500 churches in the last twenty years. "
