It's a season to slow down and anticipate and prepare for the celebration of Jesus' birth on Christmas day. It begins the fourth Sunday before Christmas and continues through Christmas Eve.
Each week of Advent has a specific theme: Hope, Love, Joy and Peace.
During Advent we can focus upon these themes and how Jesus offers each of them to us. We encourage you to find an Advent reading plan to help you slow down and reflect on reason we celebrate the Christmas season: the arrival of Jesus as a baby and Savior of the world.
Christmas Lights | Sundays in December
There’s something special about Christmas and lights...they go together. Have you ever noticed it doesn’t feel quite like Christmas until the trees and the lights go up and homes and yards are magically transformed? It's interesting that lights have become one of the most notable decorations used to celebrate the birth of the One who is called the Light of the World.
But what does all of this mean? We'll take a closer look during this message series, "Christmas Lights". Join us and learn how Jesus is the Light of the World because He came to earth to shine the light of God into our dark world.
