Missions

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

Vision

At Valley Brook, our mission is to invite people to be a part of the kingdom of heaven in the here, near, and far. As Jesus said, we are to be his witnesses in our community and region and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). So, we join with and support our local and global partners in the faith in the good work that God continues to do around the world.

Approach

In our practice of supporting local and global missionaries, we commit to:

Prayer: We pray for our missionaries, and we invite you to join us in those prayers.

Financial Support: From the day Valley Brook began, we have given at least ten percent of our general offerings to support missions. Every time you give at Valley Brook, you are supporting global mission work.

Sending: We believe every follower of Jesus is a witness and a missionary, whether in their hometown or to the world. Our church faithfully partners by sending members of our church to serve in ministries here in the greater Hartford area, on short-term volunteer mission teams, and some to full-time vocational mission work.

You Too Can Be a Missionary!
